Andrew Cornford is a PhD candidate in the Law School at the University of Warwick. His research interests are in criminal law, criminal justice and legal and political theory. Previous research projects have included work on proportionate sentencing theory and its application to the penalty for murder (University of Southampton, 2006) and liberal approaches to the regulation of anti-social behaviour (University of Oxford, 2008). His current work aims to develop a theoretical perspective on the criminalization of reckless conduct and risk-taking.
