Sonia joined the department in September 2007 as the RCUK Fellow. Sonia graduated in 2001 with a BA from the University of Barcelona where she went on to receive an M.Phil in 2003. Before arriving in Stirling, she spent three months as a post-doctoral visiting researcher at the CMM in Leeds. She received her PhD. in Philosophy in 2007 from the Univeristy of Barcelona under the supervision of Manuel Garcia-Carpintero. During the time she was writing her dissertation, she spent three fall terms as a Visiting Student in the Modality Project in Arché.

My area of specialization is Metaphysics and Epistemology of Modality.

I am also very interested in Ontology in general, Persistence, Philosophy of Mathematics and Logic, Formal Logic and Philosophy of Language.
